January 20th-21st, 2019 | Powhatan, VA
As if the name doesn't already sound badass enough, on the night of January 20th-21st, earthlings experienced a "once in a lifetime" opportunity that not just everyone in the U.S.A. got to see, but everyone in North & South America got to witness this spectacular phenomenon!
I stayed up until around 1;30am, knowing well enough that I had work in the morning. I was NOT going to miss this! It was extremely cold, and windy, but the sky was crystal clear throughout the entire night.
I'll probably be getting some type of moon-flu from this, but it's whatever. #SBWMLE19
At one point I had to run back inside, because some sort of creature trotted right behind me as I was taking a photo. I didn't see whatever it was, but hearing it was enough to get my sh*t and run to the safety of the indoors. I stayed on the balcony for the rest of the night. It was even colder because of the wind.
Totally worth it.
I'm so glad I didn't miss this experience, there's nothing like it.
